Can dry needling help with shoulder impingement?

Yes! Shoulder Impingement occurs when the top outer edge of your shoulder blade constantly rubs against or pinches your rotator cuff, causing pain and irritation to the area. This condition is seen most often in people who are involved in activities with a lot of overhead rotational motion - like swimmers.

Symptoms can include pain when your arms are extended over your head, when lifting or lowering your arm, or when lying on the affected side. You could also experience this pain at night, impacting your ability to sleep.

Dry needling jumpstarts the body’s natural healing process by creating micro-traumas in the shoulder muscles while chiropractic care can help reset the acromion and arm bones so ligaments and muscles move freely.

Through her support and care I’ve been able to address, relieve, and manage consistent pain issues, learned extensively about my anatomy, and received swift and attentive care when needed.
