To The Point PDX Patient Pup Spotlight: Artemis

To The Point PDX loves dogs!

It brings a huge smile to our faces anytime Artemis makes an appearance.

What’s your name?

My name is Artemis, but lots of people call me “Artie.”

What breed are you?

I’m a golden retriever. Though I don’t retrieve, so I’m really just a golden.

What words do humans usually use to describe you?

Humans say I’m sweet, friendly, smiley, loving, soft, and fluffy. They also call me a troublemaker because I try to grab food off the kitchen counter, chew on people’s shoes, and sometimes at the park I try to steal food from the picnickers.

How did you learn about To The Point PDX? How long have you been coming?

My dad brought me one day and I loved it so much that now he brings me pretty often. One time, my dad brought my younger sister Petunia to To The Point. She’s such a silly puppy. She jumped on the table and wouldn’t sit still! So now only I get to come. My dad says To The Point is for big girls like me.

What do you like most about being at the clinic? What do you do when you’re here?

I love to see my human friends like Sarah, Kathy, and Fara. And also my tiny friend Cleo. I like sniffing, wagging my tail, snoozing, being petted, munching on treats.

What do you notice about your dad when he gets treatments?

After my dad gets treatments, he’s relaxed. He’s in less pain. He’s happier. He has more energy and takes me on more walks.

What’s your relationship like with the staff at To The Point PDX?

They are the nicest! I love wagging my tail at them and showing them how excited I am to see them! I also like begging for treats.

How do you feel about needles?

The needles don’t scare me. I would chew on them like a little bone if someone gave me one.
