Tara Grant, BS, MA, MaCOM, Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM), LAc.
Tara's diverse experience in clinical psychology, chemistry and behavioral neuroscience is what brings her to the practice of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at To The Point PDX.
Tara's background in cognitive behavioral flexibility combined with her experience working in both chemistry and behavioral neuroscience labs gives her a unique approach to treating patients in Portland with Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
As a published researcher and trained clinical psychologist, Tara uses how the body functions biologically to inform her Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine diagnosis ensuring every treatment is effective, efficient and based in western and eastern methods of medicine.
Tara holds a Masters Degree (MS) in clinical psychology from Antioch University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Cognitive Science from from UCLA. Tara earned her Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAcOM) degree from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine; the nation's top acupuncture and Chinese Medicine school.
She is is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and registered with NADA as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist (ADS).
Outside of the acupuncture office, Tara is a thriving graphic and web designer and is well versed in the ins and outs of the corporate world. Tara's hobbies includes yoga, aerial and contortion arts and is an avid writer. She lives in Portland with her son, Kyler.
