Sarah Hammer, BS, MaCOM, Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM), L.Ac.

A former skeptic, Sarah didn't discover the benefits of acupuncture until injury got in the way of her goals.

During training for the Portland Marathon, Sarah's knee started to hurt, prohibiting Sarah from running. When her orthopedist didn't have a solution, Sarah begrudgingly turned to acupuncture as a last resort.

Defying Sarah's skepticism, the acupuncture worked! Not only did Sarah run that race pain free, but she ran a PR.

In addition to helping Sarah get in optimal health for the marathon, she experienced improved concentration, reduced anxiety, and enhanced creativity both in and out of the workplace.

Convinced that the world should try acupuncture, Sarah left her career in public relations to pursue a career in integrative healthcare.

Sarah obtained her masters degree from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, the country's top Acupuncture school, and is dual licensed as an acupuncturist in the states of Oregon and Minnesota. Sarah graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison's School of Journalism and Communications Arts.

Sarah currently sits on the Board of Directors for The Lund Report and is an active member of the Oregon Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Outside of the office, Sarah is an avid runner, cycler, swimmer, backpacker, hiker and Goldendoodle enthusiast. She lives in NE PDX with her dog, The Peach, and partner in life and love, Will. She also plays the clarinet in the Oregon Symphonic Band and is learning how to rock climb.
